why h¡span!ola?
When Columbus arrived in 1492 during his first trip to the beautiful island of Quisqueya (also called Haiti) he named it La Española or Hispaniola (in Latin). Today the island is shared by two countries: the Dominican Republic and Haiti. The Dominican Republic my second homeland, so it sounded like the perfect name for my project.
