Behaviorism

Time to memorize!

The online content prepared for every level is based on the Behaviorism theory. We provide small chunks of content, easily memorized material, different exercises for practicing the same vocabulary, and a wide range of interactive activities: drag and drop, match, order, fill the blanks, multiple choice, etc.

Contructivism

Constructivism

Time to collaborate!

Weekly activities based on the constructivism theory aim to help the student build knowledge through experiential learning and peer interaction. Peer collaboration, problem-solving exercises, real-life role-play situations, oral presentations, group projects, and journals make learning fun and engaging.

Cognitivism

Cognitivism

Time to remember!

Learning a foreign language is a complex cognitive process that keeps your brain young and active! Visuals, graphics, mind maps, and mnemonics help the brain absorb new vocabulary, organizing concepts from simple to complex. Courses are carefully structured to help the brain not only to know but to understand, remember and recall by storing information in the long-term memory “folder”. Learning a new language is a cognitive process, not a miracle, therefore we don’t offer fast-track courses.

Connectivism and Adragogy

Connectivism and Andragogy

Time to connect and to be flexible!

Online courses are designed to meet the specific needs that only adults have according to the Connectivism and Andragogy theories.

Need 1: Adults are busy and don’t have time to waste.

We provide small chunks of online content (short videos, infographics, lists, etc.) that can be covered during spare time wherever you are.

Need 2: Adults like personalization

All our students get effective and regular feedback on their pronunciation, use of grammar, and writing skills from their instructor or from their more experienced peers.

Need 3: Adults like autonomy and want to have control of learning.

The undeniable advantage of digital content is the opportunity it provides the learner to repeat information over time and to recap at the end of every module. Each module is independent, and the next level can be resumed later if needed.

Need 4: Some adults still like more traditional learning methods

Individual courses and courses in small groups help us respond to the individual needs and desires of every learner.

Montessori Method

Montessori Method

Time for hands-on activities!

The Montessori method is one of the most popular methods for primary education worldwide. In our face-to-face courses, we provide specially designed homemade Montessori materials that make learning engaging and active, especially for children. Children learn better when instructed by older peers, so in our face-to-face courses, we are trained to work with students of different levels and ages so that the more experienced students can help others.

All the material we provide can be self-corrected and children can practice again and again until they get it right, thereby gaining independence, learning how to manage their time, and remaining motivated.

Gamification

Earn your badge and continue to the next level!

Games are exciting because they combine elements like badges, levels, goals, rules, and teamwork. We learn faster when we are intrinsically motivated because what we do is fun and engaging. We incorporate gaming elements into our content to give our learners the autonomy to choose different levels, and challenges, and to advance according to their skills and interests.

Project Based Learning

Let´s think and create!

Project Based Learning is a student-centered method focused on the process. It requires collaboration and critical thinking, therefore is very engaging when accurately designed. We design Project Based Learning projects to challenge our most competent learners to go a step further.

Formative and Authentic Assessment

Let´s apply our knowledge!

Throughout the learning process, we provide formative assessment and constant feedback. Our aim is for our learners to feel comfortable about what they know and about what needs more practice.   We design traditional quizzes and exams so that learners can measure their progress, but we also design real-world simulation scenarios where learners are called to apply their skills.  Our authentic assessment rubrics help learners measure progress on their own and motivate them to keep learning. What can be more motivating than setting up a bazar, designing an infographic, filming a video of a favorite recipe, recording a podcast, writing a journal, or recreating a fictitious interview of a celebrity?
